About the Speaker:
Andrea Jonas Loughry is a member of The University of Tennessee System Board of Trustees, an institution from which she holds bachelor and masters degrees. She has chaired that board and currently serves on the executive committee and is Chair of the University of Tennessee Foundation.

Loughry was a tenured faculty member at Middle Tennessee State University for ten years prior to establishing a de nova independent insurance agency. She sold the 26 employee agency to a community bank and is now a full-time social profit volunteer.

On the national level, she sits on the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges Board of Directors. Previously, she served on the board of the American Bankers Insurance Association. Loughry has written for TRUSTEESHIP magazine.

Loughry is Chair Emeritus of the Mind2Marketplace consortium, a Middle Tennessee regional initiative to connect people with ideas and the marketplace. NASHVILLE BUSINESS JOURNAL named her a winner in the IMPACT AWARDS for Innovation. She was the first female chair of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce. Other involvements include the World Future Society, More than a Book Club, and Girl’s Gourmet Club.

Andrea and her husband of 44 years, Ed, have two children and seven grandchildren.
