Intentional Leadership is a series of highly interactive and practical workshops designed for Rutherford Cable. It focuses on the actions you can take to gain better control of your work life and influence others. We share some of the latest research on the power of positive leadership, habits, workplace engagement, and working with others. Each session challenges participants to examine what is working, what needs to change, and Raffo and Clark facilitate structured activities to make that change achievable.

Deana Raffo, Ed.D., is a Professor of Management in the Jones College of Business at MTSU. She is the Director of the Institute of Leadership Excellence and serves as the Coordinator of the Leadership Studies Minor. She has been the primary curriculum developer and professor for many of MTSU’s undergraduate leadership courses and is graduate faculty teaching Leading Organizations in the MBA program. She has enjoyed a more than 25-year-long career at MTSU with rich professional experiences involving student services, student leadership development, and leadership education. Her research focuses on the personal development aspects of leadership as well as the introspective qualities in leadership.
Dr. Deana Raffo

Leigh Anne Clark, Ph.D., J.D., is an Associate Professor of Management in the Jones College of Business at MTSU. She combines her Psychology, Law, and Management education in her work with Organizations focusing on the people side of management. She is Coordinator of the Department of Management’s Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership and Social Innovation Initiative and a graduate faculty member teaching Organization Behavior, Leading Organizations, and Non-Profit Leadership courses. Her research focuses on the ethics of technology, privacy, leadership and organizational behavior, and business ethics in general. Dr. Clark obtained her law degree from Emory University in 1992, and worked for private, government, and nonprofit organizations in Georgia before obtaining her Doctor of Business Administration with a focus in Organization Studies from Southern Illinois University in 2007.
