About the speaker
DarKenya W. Waller serves as the Executive Director of TN’s largest nonprofit law firm, Legal Aid Society of Middle TN and the Cumberlands. She is a graduate of Jackson State University, University of Mississippi - School of Law and earned a Master of Business Administration from Belhaven University in Jackson, MS. As a preacher’s kid, she has always been drawn to public service and the pursuit of amplifying the voices of the marginalized. After 10 years of legal experience in the private, for profit sector, she has spent the last 12 years representing victims of domestic violence and those marginalized communities without anywhere else to turn.
