Equal Pay: Women, Work and Wages

with Rebecca Price

Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking presentation by public historian Rebecca Price, who will tell the uncompromising story of women’s economic equality, enduring obstacles, and surprising opportunities along the way to equal pay. Price takes a fresh look at and deep dive into the stories of Tennessee women to make them relevant to our experiences today.

About the speaker

Rebecca Price is a public historian and museum professional with over two decades specializing in women’s history. She holds a Master of Arts in Museum Studies with a concentration in Art History from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Italian Studies from the University of Memphis. She has worked for the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Institute of Museums and Library Services, and the American Association for State and Local History. In 2015, she founded Chick History, a nonprofit dedicated to rebuilding history one story at a time by focusing on women’s history, original programming, and community outreach. Rebecca currently serves as a Program Coordinator in the Special Collections Department at the Nashville Public Library, where she curated their newest public space, the Votes for Women Room.

Who: Members and Guests. IN PERSON registration closes at noon on Friday, Oct 7, 2022. There is a $5 late fee for walk-up registration after this date. VIRTUAL registration is available up until the start of the event. Zoom information is included in your registration confirmation email.
