ATHENA Nontraditional Scholarship

The ATHENA Nontraditional Scholarship is awarded to a Rutherford County woman who is pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree later in life. Among other requirements; each applicant must complete a 300-word essay describing how she has embodied ATHENA’s characteristics of wisdom, strength, and justice in her own life and endeavors.

Applicants can visit the website to apply starting Monday December 19th, 2022. Deadline to apply will be Friday March 17th, 2023. 

The Rutherford ATHENA Award Program will announce the recipient of the 2023 ATHENA Nontraditional scholarship at the 2023 ATHENA Award Ceremony on May 12, 2023 at MTSU Ballroom.
